Manipulated Tube Inspection Success

PFW Aerospace UK Nuneaton (PFW) has installed four ITP Group Tube Inspection Systems at their site at Hemdale Industrial Park to ensure they meet the stringent inspection requirements of the Aerospace Industry. 

PFW use the ITP Group software to extract the tube and fitting data from the model and export the data to their benders and CMMs directly, taking out the requirement for any keyboard data entry.  The ITP Group Systems are used for initial tube inspection, fitting orientation and final inspection.

PFW’s key customers have praised their achievements stating that the integrated production system created by PFW, based on the ITP Group Tube Inspection Systems was groundbreaking producing a significant increase in throughput.  This increase in capability has seen PFW tube assembly production increase significantly over the past months especially in association to New Product Introduction (NPI).

Mark Lambert, Operations Director at the PFW Aerospace UK Nuneaton site stated that the Company could not have fulfilled their key customer’s contract without the ITP Group Systems, which have allowed CAD data extraction, tube and fitting inspection and geometric measurement such as True Position, all on the same integrated system.

PFW also commented on the accuracy, flexibility and ease of use of the ITP Group Systems and the fantastic support that ITP continues to provide.
